The sentence was handed down to him after he wrote the comment, "She is like a barmaid" in a photo of Sunmi in December 2019.

He was sentenced to a fine for publicly insulting the public figure in an online forum.

Furthermore, the court set the commentary as "a statement that was abusive and had malicious intent" and "the victim did not forgive the perpetrator."

This 500,000 won fine was also set because the 48-year-old man only wrote the comment once.
