Despite the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic that we experience, the movie "Peninsula" (Train to Busan 2), still managed to get a high number of viewers on the first day of airing.
The film "Peninsula" was released yesterday July 15 in the theaters of South Korea.
According to a report by the Korean Film Council on July 16 Thursday, it earned 352,930 viewers for its first release.
This is the highest record recorded by films in South Korea today with the covid19 pandemic.
It beat the record of the movie "#ALIVE" which garnered 204,071 viewers in its first release.
'Peninsula' is the sequel to the popular zombie movie 'Train To Busan', starring Kang Dong Won and Lee Jung Hyun.
This film takes the setting of the story 4 years after the incident in the film 'Train To Busan'.
