Many netizens criticized the Daegu City government for the birthplace of two BTS members, V and Suga, after using the faces of two BTS members without the approval of Big Hit Label.
According to the news, the Daegu city government is releasing a tour where some of the destinations are schools and places where the two members grew up. In addition, the Daegu city government invites fans of BTS (ARMY) to create a vlog explaining about the tour.
To explain their side, the Daegu city government issued a statement from netizens questioning the legality of the government's move.
"The content of this tour does not require confirmation from the agency because it only introduces relevant places and not directly celebrities," said a government representative who received numerous complaints from netizens.
South Korean netizens sympathize with the behavior of the Daegu city government and consider them reckless. This is not the first time that Daegu city government has used the face of a BTS member without the Big Hit Label agency permission.
