A survey on the big hit business will be carried out by the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
The inquiry was initiated following a large number of customers' concerns about the distribution of products from the Weverse Shop by the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
Weverse Shop is an e-commerce operated by Big Hit Entertainment that sells K-Pop stars, such as BTS, TXT, SEVENTEEN to GFRIEND, albums and merchandising.
The Metropolitan Government of Seoul estimates that from May 2020 to January 2021 they received a total of 137 complaints. These various claims include reports of deficiencies, refunds and late delivery.
On the basis of a local government inquiry, Weverse Shop did not list even the most basic goods details to be used on products in the relevant laws, such as producers and importers' data.
"We handled it according to the procedure, but there were already 30 new complaints regarding Weverse Shop at the start of this new year." said the metropolitan government of Seoul.
In this situation, Big Hit Entertainment apologized: "We apologize for the uncomfortable customer. We have been working to boost customer service since Weverse Shop was launched in 2019."
The agency has concluded that they respond aggressively to customer concerns.
