After referencing the SuperM song using Chinese musical instruments, WayV members were criticized by Korean netizens.

In a recently published online forum, Korean netizens addressed the comments of previous WayV members while talking about "I Can't Stand The Rain" from SuperM.

When discussing the song, Xiaojun said, “The song 'I Can't Stand Rain' has a Chinese flavor,” to which Yangyang replied, “You're right. I think there is an erhu (traditional Chinese instrument) sound in the song. " Kun then confirmed it, “Yes, it was an erhu soundIt's amazing, like combining Western and Chinese music styles.''

Suddenly the WayV member's statement immediately drew a lot of criticism from Korean netizens, because 'I Can't Stand the Rain' is a song that combines western musical styles with traditional Korean musical instruments such as daebuk and ajaeng.

Various criticisms of Korean netizens sent to WayV members such as:

"This is why Korean fans can't accept you,"

"NCT again," "As an NCTzen, I feel very disappointed and embarrassed,"

"Go back to China and let TEN and Lucas promote quietly in Korea,"

“It doesn't make sense for them to say 'West and China', even though people usually say 'West and East',”

and many other similar critical comments.
